Welcome to our class blog this spring. Our overall goal is to learn as much as we can about appropriate educational technologies for teaching and learning. To that end, we'll each create a blog that will serve as a collection of all the assignments we complete this spring.
We will begin with introductions. Share your name, your major, your planned student teaching semester, your favorite subject to learn, and something of interest about you that others may not know.
Then, this first week, we'll
a. create a blog
b. enter a blog post about what we hope to learn this semester, maybe some details like "I want to learn how to fly online" or "I want to learn ..." I'll take these entries and add to the in-class assignments, and perhaps tweak some of the existing assignments down the road to address what you are hoping to learn.
c. include a photo in your blog.
Additionally, obtain the textbook by Wesley Fryer, Playing with media: Simple ideas for powerful sharing.
-->
http://playingwithmedia.com/pages/about and read the first chapter on Why? Come to class next week prepared to discuss the implications of technology for the classrooms of the future, your classrooms.
Thanks much for jumping in with both feet and playing around with media each week.
