Week #13: Technofication of a Lesson (part 1)

The first three-fourths of this semester we've read, reflected on, and produced products that demonstrate use of a variety of technology for teaching and learning, always seeking creativity.  The last three weeks, we take from all those learnings and build a technofied lesson that demonstrates our growth and ability to answer eight questions:

• How is the application of the technology defended as appropriate, useful, and grounded?
• How does the technology reflect a current or modern expression of instructional technology?
• How does the application of the technology create learning advantages previously impossible?
• How does the use of the technology enhance or increase the efficiency of the lesson?
• How does the use of technology enhance the effectiveness of the lesson?
• How does the application of technology motivate student learning?
• How is the lesson referenced?
• How does the presentation use appropriate technology while communicating the overall objectives?

As you prepare your final and major product for this course, address the six components (Roman Numerals) from the syllabus for the assignment (see hand-out shared in class).  Be creative.  Look up appropriate technology standards and content standards to reference your lesson.  Be prepared to share your "presentation" in class on Monday, May 6.  Each presentation should be a maximum of 5 minutes.

In the coming weeks, we'll continue to work on this major project, and we'll address additional technology issues in class.
