Week #6: Podcasting

This week, we have four objectives:

1.     Discuss the reading from Fryer (2011) Chapter 2 Digital Text and the weaving of Sir Ken Robinson’s notion on creativity into our learning.
2.     Outline the components of a digital video for use on your digital video assignment due 3/18. (see below).
3.     Create an enhanced audio podcast using Garageband.  An enhanced podcast allows for still images or a video clip in addition to the audio.  Work with a partner, different from last week’s partner, and create another 30-second public service announcement.  Include at least three audio tracks in your podcast.  Use the tutorial links from our class blog to assist as you learn more about podcasting. When you have the product as you want, “Share” with “Export Podcast to Disk” using the AAC encoder (not the mp3 encoder) and then upload that .m4a file to box.com, and link to your blog using the HTML/Java Script gadget.  Due today in class.
4.     Assign the reading of Chapter 3 Audio.  Write a blog entry about your reading and creating of an enhanced podcast. Due 3/11.

Let's hope we can be creative while playing with media!
